Children are back at School. It appears that all seem to have settled into the "School Routine" as traffic at area schools seem to be manageable and the vibrancy of the Community has come alive yet again. The sports scene has also been quite vibrant in area high schools as well as Aliso Niguel looks to its' homecoming celebrations on October 2.
There are changes coming, though. One notable change is the fact that the Capistrano Unified School District is proposing August 16 as the new start date for the 2015-16 school year. It is on the agenda for debate for the September 9 meeting at District Headquarters. This is as a number of the Elementary Schools (including Wood Canyon, Crown Valley and Del Obispo among others) are slated to be shut down as Community Roots is looking to expand its' campus.
Our team will continue to assess the changes over the ensuing weeks and months.
