It is the first formal "Working day" of the new year. As a new year is before I reflected upon the notion of service and how critical it is ever more so now. The President's Volunteer Service Award came to mind.
This is an award that is jointly administered by the Corporation for National Service & the Points of Lights Foundation. I had the pleasure to work on a project having my local Boy Scout Troop, Troop 772, be a certifying organization. It was also quite gratifying as I was grateful to the team at the Presidential Volunteer Service Award as they approved this for publication to their Facebook Page of the Clip I Produced:
I hope such initiatives are sustained during the years of the Trump Administration.
