Two Pivotal Orange County Institutions have had anniversaries this Month. The Orange County Fair opened up its' door this week and cities will be featured as they raise the flag daily during the duration of the fair. Laguna Niguel will be one of the South County Cities that would have the honor this coming Wednesday on this 125th Anniversary of the Fair.
There is another institution that is celebrating its' 60th Year: Disneyland. The Orange County Register issued a commemorative edition chronicling the transformation of what it deemed a "sleepy farming community into the home of the Happiest place on Earth". Just like all around the World, our team here @ #Outsiders, we have been fascinated by the evolution of Disneyland and Disney in General.
In honor of this day, we wanted to share this from Walt Disney himself when Disneyland Opened on July 17,2015:
"....To All who come to this happy place: Welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here, age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth may savor the challenges and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams and the hard facts that have created America, with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the World."
