Earlier today, I had the honor of stopping by a Veterans of Foreign Wars table at a local Ralphs to make a contribution, and they were gracious enough to let me have some poppies so I could share them with my parents and partner.
As I thought about the lyrics of this beauty that underscores an appreciation for life and, yes, getting old, I also reflected upon In Flanders Field (and assisted in curating a Tribute across the Daily Outsider Properties) to salute the fallen, their families, and pray for the solace of the loved ones.
